Hi, I am Deseret Barnabi.

I am a portrait photographer based in San Diego, California. I specialize in couples, particularly, engagements and weddings, and editorial/headshots. Photography has always been something I've enjoyed ever since my dad gifted me my first camera back in high school. Photography was always a creative outlet during my teenage years. But it wasn't something that I thought I would pursue as a full-time profession. However, while my husband was stationed in Charleston, South Carolina, it became an outlet for artistry and meeting new people. The next thing I knew, I was building clientele, getting paid to photograph sessions, and developing a deeper love for photography. What started as a hobby, later, and unexpectedly, became an enjoyable career.

Beyond my passion for photography, I am also a military spouse, a mom of two beautiful daughters, and a fur momma. I also love traveling, music, Disney, academia, film, writing, and food. I also have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Psychology (Specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis). If you can relate to any of these things, it seems like we will be able to connect perfectly.

Feel free to check out my work and send an inquiry. I'd love to chat and maybe even capture your best memories.

Do I have to order prints through you?

Every client has a choice to print their digital photos on their own. However, I HIGHLY recommend getting your prints printed professionally to achieve the best color quality. 1-hour photo kiosks (i.e., Walmart Photo, Walgreens, etc.) might not provide accurate color tones for your photos.
